Council 15659 Earns Triple Star Award

At the September 7, 2014 Milwaukee Diocese meeting of the Knights of Columbus, it was announced that Council 15659 – St. Lucy of Racine, was one of only two councils in the State of Wisconsin to achieve Triple Star status. The other council was in the LaCrosse Diocese.

The Star Council Award recognizes outstanding achievement in membership, insurance and service program activities. To be eligible to earn the Star Council Award, a council must qualify for the Father McGivney (membership), Founder’s (insurance), and Columbian (programming) awards. Triple Star means that the membership quota was exceeded by three times.

Grand Knight Bill Wehnert represented Council 15659 to receive the Triple Star Council award at the September 7th Diocesan Training & Awards event. State Deputy Ronald Faust, State Chaplain Bishop Donald Hying, and State Warden Patrick Reiff presented the award.
